Job Summary
Install our telematics system and devices on vehicles, construction equipment, heavy equipment, and customer assets, operating machinery as needed for testing. Confidently remove and replace ignition systems without custom keypads, then integrate communication between keypads and telematics systems. Work through installation scenarios ranging from basic power and ground checks to complex custom wiring harnesses accessing the CAN network. Identify and resolve problems by gathering information and developing alternative solutions when required. Travel to client sites or various rental yards within a 250-mile radius for installation cases. Serve as an advocate for the EquipmentShare platform and brand while on the job. Occasionally work outside of business hours and on weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude
- Hard-working
- Eager to learn
- Mechanically inclined
- Experience in a related field, e.g., electrician, HVAC tech, car audio installer, etc
- Mobile Electronics Installer
- Automotive Electronics Technician
- 12V Technician
- Own tools
- Hard worker with excellent attention to detail
- Clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be open to traveling within a 250 mile radius of our local branch for up to a week at a time
- Must be able to drive
- Must be able to maneuver in tight spaces
- Must be able to bend
- Must be able to squat
- Must be able to walk long distances
- Must be able to lift more than 25 lb
- Must be clean shaven
- Must pass a 10 panel drug screen
