Job Summary
Administer, configure, and support all bus technology systems including telematics devices, driver cameras, tablets, and DVR integrations. Maintain accurate technology inventories, monitor device health, and coordinate firmware updates across NACSB entities. Serve as Tier 2/Tier 3 support for escalated issues, diagnose failures, and track resolutions to closure. Validate equipment installations against QC standards and manage permissions for enterprise systems like TMT and Bytecurve. Train site personnel on onboard tools and develop reference materials. Collaborate with vendors, maintenance, and operations teams to ensure compliance and continuous process improvement. Requires 3–5 years of fleet technology experience and occasional travel.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in IT, fleet technology, telematics, or related field
- Strong understanding of GPS systems, mobile devices, networked equipment, and cloud platforms
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience with hardware and software
- Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, installation schematics, and device configuration documents
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to lift and transport equipment (typically up to 30–40 lbs)
- May require off-hours support during major incidents or deployments
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Samsara, Geotab, Zonar, Lytx, or similar platforms
- Familiarity with school bus operations, DVIR/EDVIR workflows, maintenance systems (TMT), and routing software
- Project coordination or vendor management experience
