Job Summary
Telehealth SUD Counselor in a Substance Use Prevention Treatment (SUPT) Program conducts ASAM assessments, develops personalized treatment plans using motivational interviewing, leads psychoeducational groups for recovery and relapse prevention, coordinates case management and referrals, provides crisis intervention as needed, collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, and documents therapeutic progress in the Smart Care EHR; this full-time, hybrid role is based in Sacramento, CA.
Required Qualifications
- CADC / SUDCC Certification or higher (required)
- Experience: In the field of Substance abuse/ Behavioral Health 2 years or more (required)
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification (Required)
- Valid CA Driver's License
- Current Health Screen (Required)
- TB Clearance (Required)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Professional conduct always
- Strong Internet connection required
- Ability to keep patient information confidential
