Job Summary
Operate telehandler equipment to safely load, unload, and move materials while supporting the setup and breakdown of logistics operations at deployment sites. Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on telehandler equipment, assist with other material handling tasks as assigned, and follow all safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment. Collaborate with logistics team members to meet operational needs and perform other job-related duties as assigned. This seasonal role requires immediate availability to deploy within 24 to 72 hours for short-notice travel to disaster-affected locations in Florida, involving irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Telehandler Operator Certification
- Prior experience operating a telehandler in logistics or emergency response
- Flexibility to work irregular hours—such as nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods
- Must be physically capable of lifting heavy materials and working outdoors in varying conditions
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-stress environments during disaster responses
- Availability to deploy with short notice
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team setting
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
