Job Summary
Responsible for receiving emergency and non-emergency calls via phone and dispatching appropriate resources as required, using CAD to maintain situational awareness, coordinating with Incident Commander and airport stakeholders, monitoring NCIC/LINK information, disseminating information via the Airport Mass Notification System, controlling access/security systems, monitoring airport infrastructure and weather, and performing duties to support airport operations and safety. Lateral candidates with DOCJT certification and experience are welcome; salary for lateral candidates is based on years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 18 years of age
- United States Citizenship
- Pass Department of Criminal Justice Basic Telecommunications Course (new recruits)
- Maintain LINK/NCIC certifications
- Maintain Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) certification
- Maintain Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) clearance
- Obtain and maintain position appropriate NIMS and emergency training
