Job Summary
Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services on telecommunication towers, antennas, radios, coax, and wireless equipment to ensure optimal network performance. Respond to service tickets, assess issues, and communicate needs to supervisors while identifying necessary site access, permits, and safety gear. Follow work plans to organize tasks, maintain documentation including photos and logs, and adhere to safety standards during outdoor field work. Requires 50–75% travel with a Monday–Friday schedule; pay starts at $22/hour plus per diem and benefits. Minimum 2–3 years of tower experience and proficiency in climbing towers are required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of telecommunications tower experience (construction, service, or maintenance)
- Proficient in climbing towers and working at heights in various weather conditions
- Strong troubleshooting skills for RF, fiber, and electrical systems
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
- Basic computer and mobile app skills for ticketing, reporting, and testing software
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Approachable and able to work collaboratively with crew members, subcontractors, and customers
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to obtain OSHA 10/30, First Aid/CPR, and RF Awareness certifications
