Job Summary
Telecommunications Technician providing 24/7 support at Peterson Space Force Base, CO, focusing on monitoring, installing, and maintaining networks and end-user equipment, handling user requests, diagnosing issues, upgrading platforms, training staff, and managing cryptographic and Secure Voice equipment; duties include incident/ticketing, inventory updates, on-site/off-site travel, and developing system documentation and operating procedures; requires TS/SCI eligibility, 6 months+ related experience, IAT II certification, and ability to support shift work including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Clearance Requirement: Top Secret with SCI eligibility
- 6 months or more directly related experience
- 1 year or more general work experience
- IAT Level II Certification (CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)
- Desired Requirements: Digital Switching Systems - 2A Certification
- Knowledge of Telecommunications Secure Voice Switched Network switch management/maintenance
- Secure Voice Responsible Officer and Telecommunications Control Officer experience
- Experience with Cryptographic/Communications Security (COMSEC) and COMSEC Responsible Officer requirements
- Operations planning and management in a real-time support environment
- Ability to prepare, objectively review, and deliver technical presentations
- Experience with technical knowledge capturing, training, and certification of personnel
- Demonstrated experience interfacing with customers at very high levels
- 1 year of related experience with modification and installation of secure Telecommunications Secure Voice Switched Network, cryptographic equipment (KIV-7M/KG-175), and end user peripherals
- Commercial Public Base eXchange and telephone switch experience
- Experience assisting with conferencing
