Job Summary
Telecommunications Technician to support NORAD ITW/AA and NISSC II at Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station. Responsibilities include monitoring, installing, and maintaining networks and end-user equipment; responding to user requests; performing on-the-spot diagnostics and training; upgrades to platforms; 24/7 maintenance; cryptographic equipment (KIV-7M/KG-175); training users; keeping logs and inventory; updating ticketing systems; on-site and off-site travel; developing system documentation and procedures; selecting/installing new network/switching equipment; providing server/workstation expertise; and interfacing with customers at high levels. Must have TS/SCI eligibility, 6 months+ related experience, 1+ year general experience, and IAT II certification. Relocation not offered; on-site only; shift work including nights/weekends/holidays; Colorado Springs, CO; US.
Required Qualifications
- 6 months or more directly related experience
- 1 year or more general work experience
- IAT Level II Certification (One of CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)
- Knowledge of Telecommunications Secure Voice Switched Network switch management/maintenance
- Secure Voice Responsible Officer and Telecommunications Control Officer experience
- Experience with Cryptographic/Communications Security (COMSEC) and COMSEC Responsible Officer requirements
- Operations planning and management in a real-time support environment
- Ability to prepare, objectively review, and deliver technical presentations
- Experience with technical knowledge capturing, training, and certification of personnel
- Have demonstrated experience and capability with interfacing with customers at very high levels
- 1 year of related experience with modification, and installation of the secure Telecommunications Secure Voice Switched Network, cryptographic equipment (i.e., KIV-7M/KG-175), and end user peripherals
- Commercial Public Base eXchange and telephone switch experience
- Experience assisting with conferencing
