Job Summary
Telecommunications Specialist to support US Navy and other government entities at Comalapa Air Base, El Salvador, handling telecommunication, access control, perimeter surveillance equipment, and related security systems. Responsibilities include maintenance and operation of satellite, radio, telephone, EKMS/COMSEC materials, CCTV/VSS, VTC, VOIP, PSTN, ISDN, encryption systems, and fiber optics; load/inventory/diagnosis of crypto material; implementing hardware/software upgrades; documenting problems and solutions; ensuring compliance with EKMS and COMSEC regulations; after-hours recall for 24/7 operations; and collaborating within the CSL operations center. Requires 3-5 years of Telecommunications/security systems experience, ability to read schematics, strong communication and project management skills, US citizenship, valid passport, active security clearance, valid driver’s license, and ability to pass drug/alcohol tests with up to 10% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a United States Citizen
- Must have a valid / current US Passport
- Must possess an active U.S. Secret Level Security Clearance
- Must have a valid / current US State issued Driver’s License
- Must be able to successfully complete and pass a drug and alcohol test
- Must be able to travel up to 10%
- 3-5 years of professional Telecommunications and security systems experience
- Experience with EKMS and COMSEC regulations and procedures
- Experience with CCTV/VSS maintenance and access control systems
- Proficient in network infrastructures and diagnostic tools
