Job Summary
Telecommunications Operator will operate derrick digger and aerial lift truck for overhead-aerial telecom construction, train others on equipment operation, perform safety compliance and regulatory tasks, complete paperwork and logs, assist team members, and travel as required. Requires CDL Class A license, knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols, and 1+ years of aerial lineman/utility construction experience; OSHA certification is a plus. Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug screens; local candidates preferred as relocation assistance is not offered. Work is performed on-site in varied urban and rural environments; travel up to 100% may be required.
Required Qualifications
- CDL Class A driver's license is required
- Knowledge of DOT requirements and safety protocols
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screens
- Experience preferred: 1+ years of Aerial Lineman, telecommunications and pole climbing
- Experience on Construction or Utility projects
- OSHA certification is a plus, but not required
- Willingness to travel up to 100%
- Local candidates preferred as relocation assistance is not available
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with construction equipment and machinery
- General knowledge of construction practices
