Job Summary
Telecommunications Designer for a hybrid role based in our Vancouver, Kelowna or Calgary offices. Develop detailed OSP fibre and copper network designs, prepare construction-ready drawings and documentation, and perform drafting and design activities to support network deployments. Conduct site visits and field validation to ensure design accuracy, coordinate with internal planners, designers, and construction teams, and review/update as-built documentation. Copper design experience is an asset. Requires 3–7+ years of telecommunications OSP drafting and design experience and experience with fibre deployments, with proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent software. Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently, willingness to conduct site visits, and a valid driver’s license with vehicle access. Prefer familiarity with aerial and underground fibre construction practices and experience supporting large-scale network infrastructure projects.
Required Qualifications
- 3–7+ years of telecommunications OSP drafting and design experience
- Experience with fibre network deployments
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent design software
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Willingness to conduct site visits
- Driver's license and access to a vehicle
