Job Summary
Instruct adult incarcerated students in technical and soft skills for entry-level employment, covering proper tool use, cable construction, and industry standards. Plan and direct learning activities while administering diagnostic placement and achievement tests. Manage student behavior with firm, fair, and consistent application of classroom rules to maintain a positive environment conducive to educational growth. Maintain accurate attendance and student progress records in accordance with Windham School District and Texas Education Agency policies. Supervise adult incarcerated students in classroom settings and may oversee teacher aides. Prepare and use various instructional methods to teach basic concepts, utilizing curriculum guides and innovative approaches to improve performance.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma from an accredited high school, or hold GED equivalent
- Five years full-time, wage-earning telecommunication experience within the past ten years
- Windham School District must be able to issue a statement of qualification verifying work experience
- Personal technology that will enable the completion of job duties and responsibilities when working remotely
