Job Summary
Perform routine configuration changes and maintenance on the EMCOR VoIP Network, including PBXs, Session Border Controllers, and SIP Proxies. Troubleshoot VoIP call quality and termination issues while submitting, tracking, and completing Local Number Portability requests. Manage circuit orders, moves, adds, changes, and disconnects for telecommunications circuits, and prepare monthly intercompany statements for chargebacks. Provide technical support and guidance to operating company IT personnel, work with local resources to onboard new locations, and initiate, manage, and close out internal and service provider trouble tickets. Research problems, evaluate solutions, and assist in evaluating best practices or new technologies, including Microsoft Teams calling.
Required Qualifications
- At least 7 years of experience supporting Avaya Telephony Platforms (Communications Manager, IP Office, System/Session Manager, Avaya Session Border Controllers)
- In depth knowledge of SIP and H.323 Signaling protocols
- Demonstrated experience supporting an Enterprise SIP trunking infrastructure
- Knowledge of scripting to perform mass configuration changes and upgrades
- Experience with Local Number Portability and Telecom carrier management
- Proven project management experience for both new VoIP installations and upgrades
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Ability to work independently
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with virtual phone systems running on VMWare and Microsoft Teams calling
