Job Summary
Manual/telecom QA Engineer (Mid/Senior Level) responsible for manual functional, integration, regression, and interoperability testing of voice services on ONTs, validating SIP signaling with packet analysis tools, and performing end-to-end validation over IP networks. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining test cases/plans/reports, collaborating with developers and QA teams in Brazil and the United States, identifying and tracking defects through their lifecycle, assisting in telecom testing environment setup, and supporting automation initiatives where applicable. Key skills include SIP, Wireshark, TCP/IP, UDP, RTP, test case writing, and experience with embedded devices; preferred skills cover Linux CLI, Jira, MGCP, SIPp, Asterisk/FreePBX, DHCP/DNS/TFTP/FTP, TR-069, and automation tools such as Python with Robot Framework. English proficiency for cross-border collaboration and experience with VoIP infrastructure and carrier-grade solutions are highlighted.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Manual QA Engineer or Telecom Test Engineer
- Strong knowledge of Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)
- Experience using Wireshark for packet capture and protocol analysis
- Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, UDP, and RTP
- Experience creating and executing test cases, test plans, and defect reports
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies and QA best practices
- Ability to troubleshoot network and voice service issues
- Experience working with embedded devices or hardware-based platforms
- Upper-Intermediate or Advanced English for collaboration with international teams
