Job Summary
The Telecommunications Operator handles incoming/outgoing calls, monitors alarms, initiates text messages to hospital staff, and provides detailed process documentation. Requires familiarity with HICS Emergency Notification Process, ability to activate emergency tones (Code Blue, Severe Weather), monitor weather/NWS communications, and coordinate with on-call staff. Emphasis on professional demeanor with patients and staff; non-exempt status; ability to work with multiple software systems and maintain logs.
Required Qualifications
- 3 months of related experience
- Knowledgeable in the HICS Emergency Notification Process
- Demonstrates a good working knowledge of all processes associated with the Telecommunications Operator position
- Capable of multi-tasking with numerous interruptions
