Job Summary
Tele-Psychiatrist role joining Houston Methodist Hospital's Department of Psychiatry. 100% virtual position with a four-day, 10-hour shift schedule. The physician will help develop and lead an interdisciplinary team in the evaluation and treatment of hospitalized and emergency room patients with complex medical and psychiatric illnesses. Board-certified psychiatrists licensed in Texas are sought, with residency in Texas, Washington, Florida, Louisiana, or Georgia; candidates residing in these states are eligible. Training in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, Emergency Psychiatry, or Internal Medicine-Psychiatry is strongly desired. Required Qualifications
- Board-Certified Psychiatrist
- Licensed to practice medicine in Texas
- Eligible/License to practice in Texas (must reside in TX, WA, FL, LA or GA)
- Experience in inpatient and emergency psychiatry
- Interest in Telemedicine/Virtual care
- Experience with interdisciplinary team leadership
- Training in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, Emergency Psychiatry, or Internal Medicine-Psychiatry (strongly desired)
