Job Summary
Part-time Tele-Health Licensed Mental Health Therapist (IIC) in New Brunswick, NJ. Provide individual in-home therapy, group therapy, telehealth, and outpatient center sessions for youth with mental health disorders. Roles include conducting bio-psycho-social assessments (as trained), delivering CBT/REBT/DBT/trauma-focused interventions, managing anger and risk behaviors, and improving decision-making for youth and caretakers. Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team, complete required documentation (intake, treatment plan, DAP notes), attend monthly meetings, and be available 12:00–20:00 with possible weekend flexibility. Must hold a master’s degree in a behavioral health field, active NJ license (LCSW/LPC/LMFT/LAC/LSW/LFT), trauma and crisis intervention training, and have experience with youth therapy, treatment planning, and DSM-V usage. Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field
- Active license in New Jersey (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC, LSW, LFT) (reciprocity considered for out-of-state licenses)
- Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training
- Crisis Intervention Training or willingness to train
- Post-internship field experience with youth with mental health disorders and clinical experience
- Experience creating treatment planning, treatment goals, progress notes, and initial assessments
- Experience with counseling approaches: CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, Trauma Response
- Familiarity with DSM-V for assessments and diagnosis
- Must be available for 6-10 hours per week during after-school hours (12noon–8pm); weekend flexibility is a plus
- Must maintain a minimum caseload of 2–3 clients for part-time staff
- Experience providing positive behavior supports with children ages 3-20; I/DD experience is a plus
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- Pre-employment drug screening
