Job Summary
Part-time Tele-Health Licensed Mental Health Therapist (IIC) in Northern New Jersey delivering in-home, center-based, and telehealth therapeutic services for youth. Responsibilities include providing individual, group, telehealth, and outpatient center sessions; conducting bio-psycho-social assessments; applying coping and social skills training; reducing risk behaviors; improving caregiver and youth decision-making; collaborating with the Child Family Treatment Team; submitting intake, treatment plans, and progress notes; attending monthly meetings and completing mandated documentation; training for assessments; leveraging CBT/REBT/Gestalt/DBT and Trauma-Informed approaches; using DSM-V for assessments and diagnosis; maintaining a 2–3 client caseload; requiring a master’s degree in a behavioral health field and active NJ license; 6–10 hours/week after-school (12–8pm) with weekend flexibility; background checks and post-offer drug screen; authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship; state reciprocity considered.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field
- Active license in New Jersey (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC, LSW, LFT) or reciprocity
- Has Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training
- Has some training or willing to complete Crisis Intervention Training
- Post-internship field experience with youth with mental health disorders
- Experience creating treatment planning, treatment goals setting, progress notes, and initial assessments
- Experience with CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, Trauma Response
- Knowledge of DSM-V for Assessments and Diagnosis
- Available for 6-10 hours per week during after-school hours (12noon-8pm); weekend flexibility a plus
- Maintain minimum caseload of 2–3 clients for part-time staff
- Experience working with children 3-20 and with I/DD is a plus
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Pass state and federal background checks
- Pre-employment drug screen required
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
- NJ state reciprocity considered
