Job Summary
Provide individual in-home therapy, group therapy, Telehealth therapy, and outpatient center sessions for youth with mental health disorders across Northern New Jersey. Perform bio-psycho-social assessments and deliver coping, social skills coaching, anger management, and reduction of risk behaviors (e.g., SIB/physical aggression). Improve youth and caregiver decision-making for in-home behavioral challenges. Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team and other disciplines; submit intake, treatment plans, DAP notes, and other required documentation; attend monthly meetings. Willingness to train for Bio-Psycho-Social assessments. Requires a master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields, clinical trauma training, crisis intervention training, and availability 6-10 hours per week after-school (12:00–20:00) with a minimum caseload. Telehealth, in-home, and center-based services are provided; must have NJ license and be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship. Compensation: $60-$75 per hour; benefits include PTO, health coverage options, 401K, and ongoing training.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields such as LSW, LAC, LFT
- Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training
- Crisis Intervention Training or willingness to complete
- Post-internship field experience with youth with mental health disorders
- Experience creating treatment planning, goals, progress notes, initial assessments
- Experience with CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma Response
- DSM-V knowledge for assessments and diagnosis
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Able to work 12-8pm after-school hours
- Caseload of 2-3 clients for part-time
- Experience with positive behavior supports
- Experience with children 3-20 and I/DD a plus
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
- NJ license/certification copy submission
