Job Summary
Licensed mental health therapist needed to provide Part-time in-home, center-based, and telehealth therapy for youth (ages 3-20) in Northern New Jersey. Responsibilities include delivering individual, group, telehealth, and outpatient center sessions; conducting bio-psycho-social assessments; teaching coping skills, anger management, and reducing risk behaviors; improving decision-making for youth and caregivers; collaborating with the Child Family Treatment Team; completing intake, treatment plans, DAP notes, and other clinical documentation; attending monthly meetings; and training for assessments. Must hold a master’s degree in a relevant field, have trauma-focused training, crisis intervention training, license/clearances as applicable (LCSW/LAC/LFT or similar), prior youth-clinical experience, knowledge of CBT/REBT/Gestalt/DBT/Trauma approaches, DSM-V familiarity, and be able to work 6-10 hours weekly after-school, with 2–3-client caseload, plus the ability to pass background checks and a drug screen. NJ-work authorization required; visa sponsorship not offered. Location is Hackensack, NJ with hybrid remote work options.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields such as LSW, LAC, LFT
- Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training
- Crisis Intervention Training
- Post-internship field experience with youth with mental health disorders
- Experience with treatment planning, goals setting, progress notes, and initial assessments
- Experience with CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma Response
- Knowledge of DSM-V for Assessments and Diagnosis
- Must have NJ Driver’s License
- Background checks
- Pre-employment drug screen
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship
- Within 25–30 minutes of service areas
