Tekla Support and Systems Technician - Construction Modeling

Job Summary
Provide technical support and guidance to CAD software users, investigating and resolving modeling, drawing, numbering, reporting, and configuration issues. Develop and maintain user documentation, standards, procedures, and best practice guidance while defining company standards including catalogs, templates, reports, and drawing layouts. Engage with internal stakeholders to translate business requirements into practical solutions that improve workflows, efficiency, and consistency. Manage firm folders and environment files, ensuring current approved versions are implemented throughout the Construction Modeling group. Evaluate new software versions, service packs, and releases, and support software upgrades and environment migrations.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant qualification and/or equivalent industry experience in Engineering, Architectural Technology, Construction Management, CAD/BIM, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years' experience using Tekla Structures within a structural steel detailing, construction modeling, or BIM environment
- Strong knowledge of Tekla Structures configuration, administration, and environment management
- Demonstrated experience maintaining Tekla catalogs, templates, reports, drawing layouts, user-defined attributes, and company standards
- Strong understanding of structural steel detailing principles and construction modeling workflows
- Working knowledge of interoperability and automation: Trimble Connect, AutoCAD, Revit, IFC workflows, macros, and custom components
- Proven ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused approach to user support
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
