Job Summary
The TEEN SERVICES PROFESSIONAL (TSP) at Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas is a part-time, hourly role delivering age-appropriate teen programming (ages 13–18) and supervising after-school activities. Responsibilities include delivering Boys & Girls Club core program areas, recruiting to reach 100 teen members, transporting teens in organization vans, ensuring safety and club standards, orienting new members, maintaining records, supporting the Program Director, and fostering positive relationships with staff, parents, and community partners. Essential duties cover implementing and evaluating programs, maintaining an attractive and safe club environment, enforcing rules, and contributing to club operations and events. Required qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, minimum 21 years old, at least 1 year of experience with youth, ability to drive 15-passenger vans with a clean driving record, CPR/First Aid certifications, strong communication skills, and Texas Driver’s License. Preferred qualifications include prior Youth Development experience and the ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment. The role emphasizes safety, leadership, teamwork, and positive youth development within a Boys & Girls Club setting.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 21+ years old
- At least 1 year experience working with children
- Combined experience and/or formal training equivalent to a minimum of 6 months where there is experience working with youth and knowledge of youth development
- Formal training or experience teaching youth while creating engaging learning experiences
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Maintain a clear and active driving record to drive organization’s 15 passenger vans
- Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems
- Ability to plan and implement quality learning programs for youth
- Ability to de-escalate problems and problem-solve during day-to-day-club activities
- Mandatory CPR and First Aid certifications (course will be available for staff upon being hired)
- Valid Texas Driver's License
