Job Summary
Plan, organize, and evaluate programs for club teens under the Program Director's supervision. Create environments that facilitate Youth Development Outcomes by promoting daily program participation and special events. Orient new members to safety rules and disciplinary expectations while providing guidance and role modeling. Implement and monitor services to ensure member safety and quality, maintaining records for attendance and participation. Supervise volunteers and program assistants, ensuring adherence to dress codes and club rules. Monitor supply needs, order materials within budget, and keep the supply room organized. Insure program areas remain clean and attractive, making necessary repairs to facilities and equipment. Participate in weekly staff meetings and complete leadership university courses to expand skills. Work daily afternoon and evening hours with occasional weekend availability, including travel for field trips.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Combined experience and/or formal training equivalent to a minimum of three years
- Experience in working with teens
- Knowledge of youth development
- Formal training, knowledge and/or experience in programming for teen interest and participation
- Ability to motivate youth
- Ability to manage behavior problems
- Ability to deal with the general public
- Ability to plan and implement quality learning programs for youth
- Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment
- Valid State Driver's License
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to kneel
- Ability to reach
- Ability to bend
- Ability to lift objects weighing in excess of 25lbs
- Ability to travel to special events and field trips
- Ability to work daily afternoon/evening hours
- Ability to work weekends
