Job Summary
Plan, organize, and evaluate programs for club teens under supervision, creating environments that facilitate Youth Development Outcomes. Orient new members to programs, events, and safety rules while providing guidance and role modeling. Implement and monitor activities to ensure member safety and quality, maintaining records for attendance and participation. Supervise volunteers and program assistants, manage supply orders within budget, and keep facility areas clean and current. Maintain order and discipline among members, adhering to dress codes and expectations. Participate in weekly staff meetings and complete leadership university courses to expand skills. Work daily afternoon and evening hours with occasional weekend availability, requiring travel to special events and field trips.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Combined experience and/or formal training equivalent to a minimum of three years
- Experience in working with teens
- Knowledge of youth development
- Formal training, knowledge and/or experience in programming for teen interest and participation
- Ability to motivate youth
- Ability to manage behavior problems
- Ability to deal with the general public
- Ability to plan and implement quality learning programs for youth
- Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment
- Valid State Driver's License
- Must be able to work daily afternoon/evening hours
- Occasional weekend work
