Teen Aide

Assist teachers and supervisors in caring for children and maintaining the physical environment of the school facility. Help set up activities and supplies before students arrive, supervise children during education and play, and ensure safety. Maintain the interpersonal environment by providing warmth, fostering self-esteem, and accommodating individual differences. Establish communication with parents and participate in self and school evaluations. When requested, stay with staff until all children are picked up and help leave the center cleaned and locked. Report directly to the teacher, supervisor, and/or aide. High school student in good standing with flexibility and willingness to learn. Work involves standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally.
