Prepare the operating room and materials by verifying the surgical schedule, requesting items from the Central of Materials and Sterilization, and conducting equipment checks. Transfer patients to the surgical table safely, monitor anesthesia induction, and assist the surgical team with proper positioning and instrument counting. Maintain the operating room door closed throughout the procedure, check for technical failures, and manage medication and equipment costs on the billing sheet. Document nursing care on standardized forms, send specimens to laboratories, and escort patients to recovery with complete records. Requires full Nursing Technician registration with COREN and proven experience in the surgical block and surgical instrumentation.
