Job Summary
Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical assemblies at the component level while operating electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes. Conduct special tests, assist with equipment installation, debug, and validation, and develop and maintain debug guides for PCBA. Provide technical guidance to other personnel, present training to assembler teams, and contribute to work instructions and device history documents. Monitor productivity by tracking yields and equipment cycle rates. Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Troubleshoots and repairs complex mechanical and electrical assemblies used in equipment at the component level
- Operates electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and customers
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts and operations
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Desired Qualifications
- Collaborates with engineering on functionality issues and procedure updates
- Presents training, when necessary, to the new build and service assembler teams
- Contributes to the development of work instructions, batch records, equipment logs, material specifications and other device history documents
- Helps monitor productivity of our equipment by tracking yields and equipment cycle rates
- Assists with the installation, debug and validation of process equipment
- Follows all safety guidelines and reports unsafe conditions to supervisor
- Develops and maintains Debug Guide to troubleshoot PCBA
- Provides training and PCBA debugging guidance to other debug technicians
- Serves as an expert/consultant in technical skills with other employees
- Demonstrates knowledge of advanced technologies as well as functional techniques and improves processes
- May direct other employees
- May make decisions or recommendations for team
- May mentor, coach and lead other employees
