Job Summary
Diagnose and repair electronic circuit board assemblies to component level after prior repair attempts by Technicians I & II, maintaining minimal quantities of Engineering and Component hold assemblies. Utilize electronic test and measurement equipment while interpreting assembly documentation including schematics, BOMs, EC documents, and visuals. Assist the Test Engineering department in data evaluation programs to improve diagnostic efficiency and execute Jabil production requirements, rules, and policies. Manage frequent customer interfaces, including travel to customer sites for advanced diagnostic issues, and recommend staffing levels while assisting in recruiting and training technical personnel. Resolve complex technical assignments requiring judgment and initiative, prepare reports on solutions, and perform team duties to achieve process yield goals. Adhere to safety, health, and security policies.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software
- Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil's software packages
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to read and understand visual aid
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs
- Ability to understand and utilize assembly documentation such as but not limited to the following; Schematics, BOM's, EC documents, Visuals, Debug, Testing tools and procedures
- Exhibit proficiency in the use of electronic test and measurement equipment
- Frequent customer interface, including travel to customer sites for advanced diagnostic issues
