Job Summary
Provide exemplary customer service by teaching basic computer skills, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and assisting users with email setup, resume writing, and internet searching. Plan, coordinate, and conduct technology-related classes and presentations for the public and staff across all Licking County Library locations and offsite venues. Create and edit PowerPoint slides, distribute handouts, and update online marketing tools as needed. Maintain class sign-up sheets, follow up with registrants, and compile statistics for the supervisor. Submit invoicing information to the Library Business Office and recommend equipment purchases or procedural changes. Work flexible daytime, evening, and weekend hours as a temporary part-time staff member.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Two years of related experience
- Equivalent combination of education, experience and training
- Experience in teaching and/or public speaking
- Valid driver's license
- Access to a vehicle to provide own transportation when participating in off-site library business
- Must be insurable by the Library's auto insurance carrier
- Must successfully pass a background check
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Ability to maintain predictable and regular attendance
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including daytime, evening and weekend hours
- Ability to communicate, comprehend and follow Library policy and procedure
- Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to understand library wide operations
- Ability to satisfactorily perform all of the responsibilities associated with a specific job title
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of that same job title
