Job Summary
Technology Trainers deliver OATS curriculum to older adults in-person and virtually, across NYC’s five boroughs, serving as brand ambassadors and educational coaches. Responsibilities include teaching technology courses, creating a supportive learning environment, providing caller support, outbound outreach, coordinating with sites, data entry (Salesforce), recruiting participants, supervising volunteers, and collaborating with OATS staff on curriculum and program needs. Required: strong communication skills in English and Spanish, proficiency with Windows and iOS, experience teaching adults/seniors, willingness to travel to NYC community centers, independent and team work capability, time-management, flexibility, patience, and at least 1 year of professional work experience. Also includes ability to travel across Brooklyn, Bronx, Manhattan, Staten Island, and Queens; submission of resume to careers@consortiuminc.com. The Consortium.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a professional work setting
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly in English and Spanish
- Proficiency with Windows computers, iOS, popular social media sites, and other common technologies/devices
- Experience teaching teenagers, adults, and/or seniors, preferable
- Comfortable traveling to various senior/community centers as needed, when/if safe to do so throughout the five NYC boroughs; Brooklyn, Bronx, Manhattan, Staten Island and Queens.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a training team
- Superior time-management skills
- Flexibility, patience, and a sense of humor
