Job Summary

Assist with the installation of hardware, software, and related peripherals while monitoring performance to ensure the maintenance of all computers, software, and local area networks. Install upgrades to existing systems and read schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals to troubleshoot technology-related equipment in classrooms, media centers, labs, and administrative offices. Make recommendations to building-level staff regarding upgrades and replacement of technology-related equipment. Operate standard and specialized electronics devices for testing and repairs, providing first-response support at the building level. Maintain a valid driver's license and personal vehicle for on-site assistance across multiple sites.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduation from a two-year college or technical school with a degree in a related field
  • Eighteen months experience
  • Experience in computer and peripheral troubleshooting
  • Valid driver's license issued by the NC Department of Motor Vehicles
  • Personal vehicle for use during work hours

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working in technology in a public-school setting
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science or Engineering
