Job Summary
Repair hardware devices, solve hardware, software, and network problems, and configure, maintain, and troubleshoot peripheral and network systems. Install hardware and software, perform physical cabling, and manage site-based inventory while ordering parts and supplies. Provide technical support for staff and students, and execute duties assigned by the Infrastructure Team or Director of Information Technology. Requires a valid Virginia driver's license, experience with ChromeOS, Microsoft Windows, and Active Directory, and A+ or N+ certification. This role supports the Lynchburg City Schools Information Technology department with a 260-day schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Virginia driver's license
- Associate's Degree /technical school graduate
- Possesses strong people skills
- Ability to work independently without supervision
- Ability to work as a member of a team
- Experience with ChromeOS
- Experience with Microsoft Windows
- Experience with Google
- Familiar with the current version of Microsoft Windows
- Experience working with Active Directory / Entra
- Experience working in a Cisco or HPE/Aruba network environment
Desired Qualifications
- Possessing an A+ Certification and/or N+ Certification
- Experience with ChromeOS, Microsoft Windows, and Google
