Job Summary
Design, implement, and deliver complex low-latency exchange connectivity applications from requirements gathering through production deployment. Manage a team of highly technical software engineers while driving multiple concurrent projects from analysis to delivery. Lead development of scalable systems using C++ on Linux, leveraging multi-threading, IPC, and performance tuning to meet demanding trading environment goals. Partner closely with Trading, Quantitative Research, and Infrastructure teams to support regional trading operations.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree (or higher) in a technical or related discipline
- Minimum of five years experience working as a technology team lead
- Minimum of three years experience as a team lead in the financial markets industry, driving multiple concurrent projects from analysis to production and managing teams of highly technical software development engineers
- Experience working on exchange connectivity technology
- A minimum of ten years experience designing and developing applications using object-oriented programming using C++ on Linux with knowledge of design, profiling, performance tuning, OO, generic programming, STL, boost, sockets, multi-threading, and IPC
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and a thorough understanding of full life-cycle development and performance optimization/latency reduction methodologies
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and decision-making skills
- Knowledge of financial products, exchange connectivity, and market data
