Job Summary
Teach technology courses to students in grades 6–8 at Windham Academy, focusing on developing digital literacy, digital citizenship, media literacy, online research practices, and AI literacy. Deliver engaging lessons, foster critical thinking and ethical decision-making, and integrate real-world technology applications and projects. Assess student progress, provide feedback to students and families, maintain a positive classroom environment, collaborate with teachers to support technology integration across content areas, and participate in professional development and school activities. Must hold or be eligible for New Hampshire teaching certification and possess a relevant degree in education/technology fields; experience with AI tools and educational applications is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Technology Education, Instructional Technology, Computer Science, Library Media, or a related field
- Valid New Hampshire teaching certification or eligibility to obtain certification
- Experience teaching middle school students
- Strong understanding of digital literacy, media literacy, online research practices, and emerging technologies
- Knowledge of artificial intelligence tools and their educational applications
- Ability to teach students responsible and ethical technology use
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
