Job Summary
Technology System Administrator role focusing on securing, stabilizing, and ensuring high availability of critical infrastructure. Responsibilities include owning availability/performance of operations applications, troubleshooting incidents/outages, collaborating to mitigate risks from Lessons Learned/Problem Review, executing backup and recovery, patching/hardening for security, supporting go-live readiness and deployments, participating in on-call rotations, identifying automation opportunities, and maintaining compliance-related controls. Requires on-call rotation and residing in or relocating to Wisconsin within two hours of Pewaukee or Cottage Grove control centers; not remote. Qualifications include an Associate’s degree or higher, 3+ years of system administration experience, Windows and/or Linux administration, Active Directory/Entra ID, patching and vulnerability mitigation, backup/recovery knowledge, ITIL familiarity, scripting (PowerShell/Bash/Python), and experience with storage/DNS/DHCP; preferred experience in regulated environments, NERC CIP/compliance, cloud/virtualization/VDI, and automation improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher in a related field
- 3+ years of system administration experience
- Experience with Windows and/or Linux system administration
- Knowledge of Active Directory and Entra ID
- Experience with patching, monitoring, and vulnerability mitigation
- Familiarity with backup and recovery solutions
- Understanding of storage (SAN/NAS) and DNS/DHCP
- Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
- Working knowledge of ITIL processes
