Job Summary
The Technology Support Technician Intern will support Lynchburg City Schools’ Information Technology Center this summer by assisting with textbook and Chromebook IT tasks, including inventory, Chromebook repairs, preparing textbooks and Chromebooks for deployment, removing non-adopted books, and delivering textbook materials and Chromebooks as needed. The role also involves assisting the IT team with additional tasks as required and is open to students currently enrolled in a Virginia K-12 school who are at least 16 years old. The position emphasizes teamwork, customer service, and the development of technology skills, with responsibilities centered on inventory management, device preparation, and field support during the summer term.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Must be a licensed driver or have reliable transportation to and from work
- Must be able to work both as part of a team or independently as needed
- Must be available June through mid-August, with reasonable time off for vacations or other activities
- Eligible students will be in good standing with school Administrators
- Must be enrolled in a Virginia K-12 school
- Willingness to learn new applications and skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Familiarity with Google applications
