Job Summary
Technology Support II with Application and Production Support responsibilities focused on ensuring stability, availability, and performance of production application flows within the Payments Technology Team. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, maintaining, escalating, and resolving production service interruptions for internally and externally developed systems; applying site reliability best practices for critical payment systems; monitoring production environments with observability tools; communicating issues and solutions to business and technology stakeholders; identifying trends and assisting in incident, problem, and change management across full stack technology systems; and leveraging AWS cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining information technology services.
- Hands on experience in Production Support and Application support with experience with coding with Java
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Demonstrated knowledge of applications or infrastructure in a large-scale technology environment both on premises and public cloud, with specific experience in public cloud AWS. Including proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, CloudFormation, etc.
- Experience in observability and monitoring tools and techniques.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch, AWS X-Ray, and third-party solutions.
- Understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, TCP/IP, VPN, and load balancing.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with database management and SQL.
