Job Summary

Provide intermediate technical hardware and software support through setup, testing, installation, maintenance, and repair of departmental physical and virtual endpoint systems. Manage technology-related activities within the Clinical Learning Center, including programming simulation scenarios, maintaining patient simulators, coordinating audiovisual systems, and supporting faculty, staff, learners, and standardized patients during simulation-based educational activities. Perform preventive maintenance and deliver Tier I technical support for classroom audiovisual systems, instructional technology, and simulation equipment while documenting unresolved issues. Coordinate technology requirements for electronic examinations, provide support for standardized patient activities, and deliver training to faculty and staff on classroom technology and simulation equipment. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, user guides, and inventory records for all departmental technology and simulation resources.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Educational Technology, Healthcare Simulation, Biomedical Engineering, Health Sciences, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in information technology, healthcare simulation, educational technology, or a closely related field.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with demonstrated experience troubleshooting complex technical issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting established deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse populations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and instructional technology.
  • Must be available for evening and weekend work to support instructional activities, simulation events, admissions events, or other program needs.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting healthcare education or health professions programs.
  • Experience with simulation technologies (e.g., Laerdal, Gaumard, CAE, SimCapture, LearningSpace, or similar platforms).
  • Experience supporting audiovisual systems and classroom technologies.
  • Experience supporting electronic testing and assessment platforms.
  • Experience maintaining simulation equipment and coordinating vendor-supported maintenance.
