Job Summary
Technology Strategy Applications Engineer for data center cooling architectures. Develops globally applicable reference designs for facility water production across air-cooled, liquid-cooled, and hybrid cooling methods; produces white papers, case studies, and application guides; engages with consulting engineers and mission-critical teams; provides technical support across internal and external stakeholders; collaborates with R&D, Training, Product Management, and Technical Support to align market needs with product strategies; travels globally as needed and contributes to marketing tools and design/technical content; requires extensive experience in mechanical cooling systems and data center cooling, plus strong communication and strategic planning capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience designing mechanical cooling systems (e.g., chillers, chilled water pumping, storage systems)
- Minimum 5 years of experience within data center industry, directly responsible for the design of cooling systems for advanced IT equipment
- Strong technical knowledge of mission critical cooling systems, their applications and market trends
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with ability to influence decision-makers at all levels
- Proven track record of understanding and writing product specifications for end users, consultants, and installers
- Experience in strategic planning, marketing, and market research
- Highly developed prospecting skills to identify key decision-makers and stakeholders
- Willingness to travel globally as needed
