Job Summary
Identify and assess emerging technologies, trends, and market signals to influence AVEVA's long-term product and platform strategy. Translate technical exploration into business-relevant insights, strategic recommendations, and investment priorities by partnering with Fellows, product leaders, and R&D teams. Develop clear technology POVs, frameworks, and playbooks that align innovation direction with the roadmap, while communicating findings across the organization to enable informed decision-making. This high-impact individual contributor role shapes the future of industrial automation software, where AI and cloud drive strategy for over 90% of leading companies.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in technology strategy, emerging technology research, innovation scouting, or a similar technical leadership role
- Strong understanding of modern technology domains (e.g., AI/ML, industrial IoT, cloud data platforms, edge architectures, open-source ecosystems)
- Proven ability to analyze and synthesize complex technical topics into clear, actionable guidance
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving alignment across product, engineering, and research organizations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling narratives for both technical and executive audiences
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
