Job Summary
Technology Specialist II provides advanced technical support and systems administration for district technology infrastructure, devices, hardware, software, and digital platforms. Responsibilities include help desk and troubleshooting, hardware/software repair, device/setup imaging and inventory management, network and Wi‐Fi administration, Google Admin Console/Microsoft AD management, LMS and educational software support, end-of-year readiness and back-to-school technology readiness, security/compliance updates, AUP enforcement, incident response after hours, documentation of support activities, and collaboration with district staff to ensure reliable, secure technology for teaching and operations. Requires experience with end-user devices, networking, and customer-service focus; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and travel between district sites; residency in NJ or willingness to obtain residency within one year.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree or technical certification in IT (preferred)
- Minimum 1 year IT support experience
- Valid Driver's License
- English literacy and communication
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Available after hours for emergencies
- Ability to drive between district sites
- Experience with Google Admin Console (preferred)
- Experience with Windows/macOS/Chrome OS
- Familiarity with network troubleshooting and MDM
- K-12 experience a plus
- Criminal background check and residency status requirements
