Job Summary
Technology Specialist - Level I supporting district technology operations: administer OnCourse Student Information System (SIS) including enrollment, scheduling, attendance, grading, and reporting; manage Clever identity and application rostering integrations; perform data uploads and syncing across district platforms (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, LMS, assessment tools); handle state and federal reporting; ensure FERPA/COPPA data privacy compliance; manage end-user devices with Apple School Manager and JAMF, including device enrollment and app deployment; conduct data audits, troubleshooting, and escalations; provide on-site end-user support across district buildings, including training school staff and coordinating with district IT leadership; travel to district sites as needed and work with district leadership to maintain data governance and security.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in Information Technology, Data Management, Computer Science, Education Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a technology support, data management, or systems administration role
- Experience with Oncourse SIS
- Experience with Clever identity provisioning
- Experience with Apple School Manager and JAMF
- Experience configuring and supporting Windows/macOS/iOS/Chrome OS
- Strong understanding of FERPA/COPPA and state privacy laws
- Attention to data accuracy with large datasets
- Analytical and problem-solving skills for data/tech discrepancies
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong communication skills for non-technical stakeholders
- Driver's License
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status with background check
- Residency in New Jersey or willingness to obtain residency within 1 year
