Job Summary
Design, install, and maintain customer telecommunication systems including voice, data, video, surveillance, and access control networks. Conduct site surveys to analyze client equipment and service requirements, then perform cabling and physical installation of PBX systems, Wi-Fi access points, routers, switches, and firewalls. Provide immediate follow-on engineering assistance for awarded contracts, assisting the sales department with technical responses to Requests for Proposals and Invitations to Bid. Ensure all systems meet security and compliance standards while keeping engineering and sales records up to date.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- US citizen or resident alien
- At least 18 years of age or older
- Resident of Guam for a period not less than three (3) consecutive years before entry into the program
- Mayor's Verification
- Ability to attend a minimum of two (2) classes per semester as identified by program coordinator
- Ability to work forty (40) hours per week with IT&E
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of one year of experience in the installation and maintenance of commercial air conditioning and refrigeration units
