Job Summary
Technology Service Technician responsible for troubleshooting and installing low-voltage systems for clients. The role emphasizes independent work, effective communication with customers and coworkers, and leadership in coordinating service calls and small projects. Key duties include managing service calls, installing and terminating cabling (Cat5e-6A, Coax, AV, DAS), fiber optic termination, reading blueprints and drawings, understanding AV, DAS, SEC, and Wi-Fi standards, using Bluebeam, Excel, Outlook, and Word, testing results uploads to project cloud, and ensuring timely task completion while maintaining dependability and regular attendance. The position is full-time, based in Utah (St. George area) with in-person work, and offers a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of color code for fiber and copper
- Understand all fire stopping procedure and techniques
- Hold at least 4 manufacture certifications
- Dependable and punctual
- Good troubleshooting skills
- Valid Driver's License
- Experience with Bluebeam, Excel, Outlook, Word, & scheduling software
- Read and understand construction blueprints and drawings
- Read and understand cable testing results and project cloud uploads
- General installation and termination of all system cabling including Cat5e-6A, Coax, AV, Security, and DAS systems
- Ability to terminate all types of fiber optic cable
- Understand AV, DAS, SEC, Wi-Fi hardware and cabling standards
- Coordinate job with customer and complete task in a timely manner
- Dress and terminate communication closets, patch panels
- Actively contribute to a positive team environment
- Be a self-starter
- Must be able to work typical schedule in Utah
- Valid Driver's License
