Job Summary
Build and maintain low-latency order management systems, feed handlers, and strategy execution logic using Rust. Design custom protocol parsing pipelines and socket management for market data and order flow across FIX, WebSocket, and proprietary protocols. Optimize performance through latency profiling, benchmarking, and kernel bypass techniques where applicable. Manage production systems impacting live trading P&L with direct ownership of networking, parsing, and state synchronization. Join a global team at the intersection of finance and crypto to shape infrastructure for tokenized markets.
Required Qualifications
- Direct, hands-on experience building OMS, feed handlers, and/or strategy logic in a production environment
- Strong Rust - the primary language for this role
- Low-level networking: socket programming, protocol implementation, latency-aware design
- Experience writing fast parsing code - binary protocols, custom formats, minimal-copy pipelines
- FIX protocol and WebSocket connectivity in production
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and state synchronization
- London (primary preference)
- Dubai (also open)
- Remote: considered only for candidates with 1-2+ years at a recognised institutional trading firm
- Curious and autonomous
- Highly motivated and results-driven
- Strong maths and analytical skills
- Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced collaborative environment
- Professional proficiency in English
Desired Qualifications
- TradFi or institutional crypto market-making background
- Experience with kernel bypass networking (DPDK, RDMA, or similar)
- Familiarity with lock-free data structures and wait-free concurrency
- Options or derivatives experience
- C++ background - useful where Rust experience is being built
