Technology Program Manager

Job Summary

Lead end-to-end delivery of software development and infrastructure initiatives, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Translate business requirements into technical controls, maintain project backlogs, and manage schedules, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies. Review and create operational documentation including standards, architecture diagrams, and runbooks while coordinating with engineering teams to enforce secure configuration standards. Implement project management methodologies to optimize team efficiency and provide regular reporting on the project portfolio to executive sponsors. Contribute to defining technical scope, identifying design risks, and protecting the firm from financial and legal risk through consistent stakeholder management and adherence to established policies.

Required Qualifications

  • 4-6 years of direct project management experience in software and infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and product development processes
  • Proficient in project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Asana, Smartsheet, Linear, etc)
  • Familiar with scripting/automation tools such as Git or Python
  • Skilled in technical documentation and standard operating procedure development
  • Clear and direct communicator, able to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently within defined objectives
  • Demonstrated experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies

Desired Qualifications

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
  • Experience in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction firms
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or other advanced Agile certification
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and managing cloud-native infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with information security and risk management frameworks
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-code and DevOps best practices
  • Experience leading projects focused on data management, data warehousing, or business intelligence
