Job Summary
Technology Operational Risk Manager – Vice President responsible for independent oversight of technology and cybersecurity operational risk for JPMorgan Chase’s International Consumer Bank, with emphasis on cloud architectures and risk assessments. Oversees governance of risks, processes, and controls; reviews incidents and resolutions; analyzes IT risk profiles, KRIs, loss data, and scenarios; collaborates with German and EU regulators; contributes to regulatory and market developments, policy enhancements, and technology governance forums; requires strong cloud (GCP, AWS) knowledge, German-English proficiency, and deep understanding of EU/German regulatory frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- Strong proven experience in cybersecurity or technology risk oversight roles
- In-depth knowledge of cloud computing with hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Solid understanding of cyber and technology controls, risk management processes, architectural requirements, engineering principles, and threat/vulnerability landscapes
- Demonstrated interpersonal and influencing skills with track record of building credibility across senior management and global organizations
- Capable of working independently, managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication in German (C1 minimum) and English
- Comprehensive knowledge of EU and German technology regulations (DORA, BaFin, EBA Guidelines)
Desired Qualifications
- MBA or Bachelor's degree with professional certification (e.g., ISACA, ISC2, SANS, AWS, GCP)
- Strong proven experience in cybersecurity or technology risk oversight roles
- Financial services experience in retail banking
- Hands-on knowledge of cloud computing (GCP and AWS)
- German (C1 minimum) and English communication skills
- Knowledge of EU and German technology regulations (DORA, BaFin, EBA Guidelines)
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills across multi-disciplinary teams and senior management
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
