Job Summary
Technology Innovation Specialist needed to join Intertek’s People Assurance Innovation Lab as a remote, US-based contributor. Responsible for transforming early-stage ideas, proofs-of-concept, and technical breakthroughs into audience-ready artifacts (executive presentations, live demos, demo videos, written narratives, and handoff materials). Independently conceive, prototype, and demonstrate innovations; translate concepts for product and engineering teams; serve as a liaison to support executive-level strategic initiatives; operate autonomously in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment; communicate complex technical work to diverse audiences; collaborate with innovators, architects, and senior contributors to align technology with product strategy. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 4+ years in software development or related fields, strong communication skills, proven ability to produce polished materials, and US residency with no sponsorship needed. Remote, full-time role with opportunities to influence product roadmap and enterprise-wide strategic charters.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience
- 4+ years of combined experience in software development, technical product management, or a closely related discipline
- Demonstrable development experience (able to read, write, modify, and debug code across at least one relevant stack- example; front-end JavaScript/React, back-end PHP/Node, or similar)
- Strong product intuition- ability to think in terms of user outcomes, future scope, and business value
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives for non-technical audiences
- Experience creating polished presentations, demos, or other audience-facing materials from technical source material
- Comfortable with self-directed work, open-ended problems, and high ambiguity and be able to define your own direction and execute without detailed requirements
- Strong creative and visual instincts and can recognize and produce work that looks and feels professional and intentional
- Collaborative and curious and enjoys working alongside technical experts while also contributing independently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities and demanding deadlines
- Must be detail-oriented and able to effectively prioritize and organize workload, with efficient time management
- Must be customer focused and quality driven
- This is a remote position; however, applicants must reside in and be able to legally work in the United States
