Job Summary
Develop UEFI/BIOS code on HP Workstations, troubleshoot complex problems, and gather training data for AI Models. Apply classroom learnings to real-world challenges through big meaty projects involving circuit analysis, PCB design, and embedded systems with microcontrollers. Engage in networking, executive speakers, and community involvement during a 12-week paid summer internship. No work authorization sponsorship is available for future full-time conversion; candidates must be eligible to work in the US in 2027. This role supports HP's mission to engineer experiences that amaze by delivering edge insights through seamlessly integrated, AI-driven solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 3rd Year of University completed or 1st year of Masters completed--typically a technical degree specialization
- Able to obtain work authorization in the United States in 2027, and not require sponsorship in the future

- Circuit analysis and design
- Analog and digital electronics
- PCB design and schematic capture
- Oscilloscope, multimeter, logic analyzer, and power supply usage
- Soldering and hardware assembly
- Embedded systems and microcontrollers (Arduino, STM32, ESP32, PIC, etc.)
- Digital logic and FPGA basics
- Power electronics and power systems fundamentals
- Control systems
- Signal processing
- Basic RF/wireless concepts (for communications roles)
