Job Summary
Assist Systems Administrators with installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting public announcement systems, e911, video surveillance, and network infrastructure throughout the district. Perform quality control inspections of PA system installations in new remodels, surveillance camera setups, and e911 phone systems at all locations. Install, maintain, replace, and repair network cabling, audio-video cabling, and campus sound systems while working with outside vendors to coordinate services. Instruct school personnel on system operations and make recommendations for upgrades and preventative maintenance. Maintain accurate documentation of all technology systems and perform after-hours inspections as needed. Work moderate standing, lifting over 50 pounds, and climbing ladders in various campus environments.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Ability to work well with children
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Knowledge of Public Announcement (PA) system
- Knowledge of Internet Protocol (IP) networks
- Knowledge of video surveillance systems
- Knowledge of troubleshooting processes
- Maintain emotional control under stress
- Moderate standing stooping, bending, and lifting
- Reach, bend, stoop, crawl, climb and lift more than (50) pounds
- Stand/walk for extended periods of time
- Climb and work off of a ladder for extended periods of time
- Must be able to move quickly about campus on either even or uneven surfaces
- Must be able to endure outside environmental elements
Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree or equivalent
- A+ certification
- Network+ certification
- In-Building Public Safety Communications (IBPSC) Certification
